The supporters of MESUDIYEFT booed when AA Buffalo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronald Tombeurs didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 6 minutes of play, MESUDIYEFT's Constantijn Dejonghe made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manuel Maerschalck was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 14 minutes, Thomas-Jan Valkeneers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AA Buffalo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas-Jan Valkeneers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, MESUDIYEFT's Steve Naessens got a free kick in the 15th minute. Lorenzo Sens kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After 20 played minutes, AA Buffalo's Ivan Van Hoof shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Guy Maerschalks came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AA Buffalo reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lorenzo Sens during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Lorenzo Sens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute, Thomas-Jan Valkeneers made a precise shot to the right of Guy Maerschalks. MESUDIYEFT's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Victor Verhaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MESUDIYEFT's supporters rose to their feet, but Constantijn Dejonghe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Maerschalck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victor Verhaert was extremely unlucky when he, in the 37th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Joseph Smidts struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Guy Maerschalks didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AA Buffalo.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joseph Smidts to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Thomas-Jan Valkeneers got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Joseph Smidts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guy Maerschalks having to interfere. Guy Maerschalks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joseph Smidts in the 66th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Thomas-Jan Valkeneers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Constantijn Dejonghe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Maerschalck having to interfere. Thomas-Jan Valkeneers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Lorenzo Sens came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the MESUDIYEFT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lorenzo Sens couldn't finish the play. Manuel Maerschalck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Verhaert in the 91st minute of the match. Manuel Maerschalck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Verhaert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
