Pieter-Maarten Huijbregs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brend Cremers, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Lars Van Hoeijveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Louis De Scheper having to interfere. Hooligans's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vincent Van den Ende was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute, Hooligans's Brend Cremers dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thibau Wijnants was the one to do the kick off. Brend Cremers struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Pieter-Maarten Huijbregs didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hooligans. If Lars Van Hoeijveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. KAA Hombeek had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
