Loid Van de Weijer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th minute, Loid Van de Weijer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the game, Steve Langendonck recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Louis De Scheper. Steve Langendonck showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Paulus De Raedemaeker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincent Van den Ende in the 22nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Wetteren's zone, Brend Cremers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulus De Raedemaeker came out of the goal and Brend Cremers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Louis De Scheper made an important save on a dangerous shot by Loid Van de Weijer in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute, Robby Van Haechten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vincent Van den Ende in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulus De Raedemaeker saved Wetteren from getting behind. Paulus De Raedemaeker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincent Van den Ende, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Loid Van de Weijer got free with Louis De Scheper in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Loid Van de Weijer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Louis De Scheper having to interfere. With a little luck, Hooligans's Louis De Scheper got control of the ball when Loid Van de Weijer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Loid Van de Weijer's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Louis De Scheper skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 44 minutes, Jeroen Van Der Linden mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hooligans and the Wetteren players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Wetteren booed when Hooligans was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeroen Van Der Linden didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brend Cremers was the one to do the kick off. Francois Martens took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Louis De Scheper. Hooligans's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hooligans's Louis De Scheper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steve Langendonck in the 58th minute of play. Brend Cremers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Paulus De Raedemaeker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeroen Van Cleynenbreugel kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. If Vincent Van den Ende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 65th minute, Robby Van Haechten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Louis De Scheper was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 88 minutes of play, Hooligans's Brend Cremers made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulus De Raedemaeker was left in no man's land by his defense there! For all the effort they put into the match, the Hooligans players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Wetteren.
