Diederiek Van den Inde could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Edgard Vereeken made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claude Van de Velde in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgard Vereeken prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Diederiek Van den Inde could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Edgard Vereeken made a huge save. Diederiek Van den Inde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the match, FC Helson's goal looked a bit too open when Claude Van de Velde came free, but Edgard Vereeken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 23 played minutes FC Helson got a freekick which was hit by Axell Voets. Edgard Vereeken was a little too slow when Claude Van de Velde got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 2-0. If Diederiek Van den Inde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claude Van de Velde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgard Vereeken made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diederiek Van den Inde in the 33rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diederiek Van den Inde got free with Edgard Vereeken in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edgard Vereeken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claude Van de Velde in the 43rd minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claude Van de Velde stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Werner Coopmans came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the FC Helson fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Werner Coopmans couldn't finish the play. Claude Van de Velde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Vereeken having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Brewers Gold's Abel Van Damme got a free kick in the 88th minute. Diederiek Van den Inde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vic Langhmans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Helson's Jeremy Blommaert got a free kick in the 95th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Brewers Gold's Tobias Seveneijns tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Brewers Gold had played much better football throughout.
