Denis Carpenter started the match with the kick off. After 4 minutes, Emmanuel Wouqier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wellen and the KSK Wavria players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th minute, Emmanuel Wouqier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 11 minutes, Daan Wigers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wellen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daan Wigers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Wellen getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Henri-Xavier Vermeulen hit a great ball. In the 21st minute, Nickolas Gyselinck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jacobus Van Den Broek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 30 played minutes Denis Carpenter rounded Wellen's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Mattijs Ablij who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Arsene Geijselinckx when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Daan Wigers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Sebbe Nelis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 39 minutes, Wouter Vandamme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wellen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wouter Vandamme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daan Wigers struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Sebbe Nelis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wellen. In the 46thth minute of the game Daan Wigers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KSK Wavria's Sebbe Nelis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daan Wigers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arsene Geijselinckx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Carpenter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Daan Wigers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Wouter Vandamme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wellen's supporters rose to their feet, but Wouter Vandamme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebbe Nelis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daan Wigers took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebbe Nelis. Sebbe Nelis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Sebbe Nelis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wouter Vandamme, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Sebbe Nelis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daan Wigers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute Daan Wigers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebbe Nelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mattijs Ablij sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Jacobus Van Den Broek put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Sebbe Nelis. With an all-out effort, Wellen's Sebbe Nelis threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Daan Wigers, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 86 minutes into the game, Wellen's Wouter Vandamme nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebbe Nelis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Daan Wigers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Sebbe Nelis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, KSK Wavria's goal looked a bit too open when Daan Wigers came free, but Sebbe Nelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wellen played a much better game than KSK Wavria and deserved their victory. The KSK Wavria players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
