Tim Reynders made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattijs Ablij in the 9th minute of play. After some careless play in the Sint-Amandsberg defense, Mattijs Ablij kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tim Reynders. The Sint-Amandsberg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tim Reynders should have stopped the shot. In the 15th minute, Mattijs Ablij got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sint-Amandsberg's Tim Reynders played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Carpenter in the 17th minute of play. Mattijs Ablij's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tim Reynders read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Denis Carpenter struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Tim Reynders didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KSK Wavria. Denis Carpenter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of KSK Wavria booed when Sint-Amandsberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dimitri De Tapp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mattijs Ablij fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Reynders having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 38th minute of the game. One of Sint-Amandsberg:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of KSK Wavria:s goal. Maxime Suteweij shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herald Render in the 43rd minute of play forced Sint-Amandsberg's goalkeeper Tim Reynders to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute Mattijs Ablij shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Reynders saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

If Denis Carpenter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute, Denis Carpenter fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tim Reynders, passed just outside the right post. 58 minutes into the match, Sint-Amandsberg's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Carpenter came free, but Tim Reynders reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denis Carpenter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tim Reynders made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Mattijs Ablij sent off a good shot on target. Sint-Amandsberg's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Denis Carpenter scored to the left of an out of position Tim Reynders, making the score, 0-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mattijs Ablij got free with Tim Reynders in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Denis Carpenter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Reynders having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Mattijs Ablij had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tim Reynders. Sint-Amandsberg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mattijs Ablij was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. 0-5 became the score in the 84th minute when Denis Carpenter elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of Sint-Amandsberg booed when KSK Wavria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ludo Moens didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mattijs Ablij had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. KSK Wavria's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
