In the 7th minute, Jannes Wans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 11 played minutes KVSK Ouderzeel got a freekick which was hit by Pieter Walder. Bavo Meersman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver De Peuter, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Bavo Meersman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver De Peuter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Oliver De Peuter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Geoffry Hermans in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bavo Meersman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Oliver De Peuter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute, Geoffry Hermans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bavo Meersman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geoffry Hermans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oliver De Peuter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Bavo Meersman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evere's Geoffry Hermans got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Geoffry Hermans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bavo Meersman was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robrecht Jaddon made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Viktor Aelemans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilbert De Graef in the 52nd minute of play forced Evere's goalkeeper Erwin-Alexander Verheijd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, KVSK Ouderzeel's Bavo Meersman got control of the ball when Geoffry Hermans tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bavo Meersman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliver De Peuter in the 60th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in KVSK Ouderzeel's zone, Geoffry Hermans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bavo Meersman came out of the goal and Geoffry Hermans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oliver De Peuter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ben Vansteenbrugge in the 73rd minute of play forced KVSK Ouderzeel's goalkeeper Bavo Meersman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oliver De Peuter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute, Geoffry Hermans made a precise shot to the right of Bavo Meersman. KVSK Ouderzeel's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When Oliver De Peuter, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 84 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Bavo Meersman was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Geoffry Hermans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. KVSK Ouderzeel's Bavo Meersman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geoffry Hermans in the 88th minute of play. Geoffry Hermans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oliver De Peuter blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bavo Meersman having to make a save.
