With a little luck, Bl's Benoit Wuttemans got control of the ball when Gerard Snieders tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benoit Wuttemans didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 6th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Torpedo Wietschoate's Claus Baeten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jakob Valckeners in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Torpedo Wietschoate's goal looked a bit too open when Jakob Valckeners came free, but Claus Baeten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Torpedo Wietschoate booed when Bl was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthias Van Haerschot didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakob Valckeners in the 21st minute of play forced Torpedo Wietschoate's goalkeeper Claus Baeten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 25 minutes, Arnoud Martin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Torpedo Wietschoate and the Bl players grew even worse after the yellow card. Claus Baeten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jakob Valckeners, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The audience was convinced that Jakob Valckeners's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claus Baeten was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. In the 31st minute, Werner Van de Leest got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A very good chance for a goal. 41 minutes into the match, Torpedo Wietschoate's goal looked a bit too open when Jakob Valckeners came free, but Claus Baeten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Alexander Gheysen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Torpedo Wietschoate's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexander Gheysen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benoit Wuttemans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Torpedo Wietschoate's Dante Van Beylen got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexander Gheysen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jakob Valckeners struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Claus Baeten didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bl. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Werner Van de Leest managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bl's supporters rose to their feet, but Werner Van de Leest was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claus Baeten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Torpedo Wietschoate getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Dante Van Beylen hit a great ball. In the 57th match minute, Torpedo Wietschoate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sylvain De Haes to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Torpedo Wietschoate's goalkeeper Claus Baeten, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Bl's Werner Van de Leest ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Claus Baeten. Claus Baeten yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. When Jakob Valckeners came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Bl fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jakob Valckeners couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Bl's zone, Alexander Gheysen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benoit Wuttemans came out of the goal and Alexander Gheysen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benoit Wuttemans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frederic Cempenaers, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Werner Van de Leest had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claus Baeten. Torpedo Wietschoate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Werner Van de Leest was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. When Werner Van de Leest came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Bl fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Werner Van de Leest couldn't finish the play. Jakob Valckeners received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Claus Baeten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claus Baeten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakob Valckeners, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Bl players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
