Manu Nelleboedske showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waut Wiggers, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Yvan Toeback hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Mathijs Roulin took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manu Nelleboedske. Manu Nelleboedske dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Mathijs Roulin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Champi fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Mathijs Roulin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manu Nelleboedske breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 40 minutes, Mathijs Roulin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Champi fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mathijs Roulin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andreas Thielens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alphonse Van Aerschodt, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 43 minutes into the game, Ernst Haemers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Champi fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vanrunkelen the free kick. Ernst Haemers kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When Yvan Toeback fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vanrunkelen's protests and gave Yvan Toeback a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Vanrunkelen getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Yvan Toeback hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alphonse Van Aerschodt in the 55th minute of play forced Champi fc's goalkeeper Andreas Thielens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Vanrunkelen booed when Champi fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernst Haemers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Champi fc's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
