Diedrik Vandamme stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexander Gheysen's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Guy Henrix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre Justus in the 27th minute of play forced Torpedo Wietschoate's goalkeeper Claus Baeten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maccabi Tilly-Aviv's Diedrik Vandamme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Gheysen in the 30th minute of play. Dante Van Beylen's late challenge caught a Maccabi Tilly-Aviv's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dante Van Beylen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd match minute, Torpedo Wietschoate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dante Van Beylen to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the match, Maccabi Tilly-Aviv's Guy Henrix sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claus Baeten narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diedrik Vandamme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pierre Justus charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pierre Justus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 37th match minute, Maccabi Tilly-Aviv was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pierre Justus to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the match, Gerard Snieders notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Maccabi Tilly-Aviv's Diedrik Vandamme. Diedrik Vandamme was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guy Henrix was the one to do the kick off. Gerard Snieders recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Pierre Justus came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Maccabi Tilly-Aviv fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pierre Justus couldn't finish the play. Gerard Snieders sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerard Snieders fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diedrik Vandamme having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Lander Kockaerts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexander Gheysen during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 82nd minute, Torpedo Wietschoate's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Pierre Justus fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guy Henrix in the 84th minute of play forced Torpedo Wietschoate's goalkeeper Claus Baeten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Torpedo Wietschoate booed when Maccabi Tilly-Aviv was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lander Kockaerts didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 87 played minutes, Torpedo Wietschoate's Tim-Jan Roels shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Diedrik Vandamme came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Torpedo Wietschoate reached it. 89 minutes into the game, Guy Henrix was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maccabi Tilly-Aviv's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Torpedo Wietschoate the free kick. A collision led to Maccabi Tilly-Aviv getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Guy Henrix hit a great ball. In the 96th minute, Guy Henrix ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claus Baeten was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Maccabi Tilly-Aviv's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
