Spectators: 7474 (Terracing: 5607, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alexander Gheysen started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geordy Ballette in the 3rd minute of play forced Torpedo Wietschoate's goalkeeper Claus Baeten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute, Alexander Gheysen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 9th play minute Gerard Snieders came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jasper Van Hoovelt. 1-0. After 13 minutes of play, Torpedo Wietschoate's Gerard Snieders made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jasper Van Hoovelt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alexander Gheysen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Jasper Van Hoovelt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Torpedo Wietschoate's Gerard Snieders got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerard Snieders got free with Jasper Van Hoovelt in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Ehsal's Jasper Van Hoovelt got control of the ball when Gerard Snieders tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Alexander Gheysen came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Torpedo Wietschoate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexander Gheysen couldn't finish the play. If Alexander Gheysen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerard Snieders fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jasper Van Hoovelt having to interfere. In the 32nd match minute, Ehsal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joannes Dekens to maneuver through the defense. Geordy Ballette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benne Ghesels to make the kick off. Dante Van Beylen hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Ehsal were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after Torpedo Wietschoate's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Angelo Van de Schrieck took the corner. Geordy Ballette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gerard Snieders had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jasper Van Hoovelt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Gheysen in the 77th minute of play. Jasper Van Hoovelt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Gheysen, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute, Alexander Gheysen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jasper Van Hoovelt was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Geordy Ballette managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ehsal's supporters rose to their feet, but Geordy Ballette was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claus Baeten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alexander Gheysen scored 4-1 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jasper Van Hoovelt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 93 minutes into the match, Sylvain De Haes notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Ehsal's Jasper Van Hoovelt. Jasper Van Hoovelt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Torpedo Wietschoate's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
