Spectators: 6876 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alexander Gheysen started the match with the kick off. If Alexander Gheysen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jakob Valckeners recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Torpedo Wietschoate's Dante Van Beylen got a free kick in the 9th minute. With a little luck, Torpedo Wietschoate's Claus Baeten got control of the ball when Werner Van de Leest tried to sneak it across the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Torpedo Wietschoate's goal looked a bit too open when Jakob Valckeners came free, but Claus Baeten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Torpedo Wietschoate getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Sylvain De Haes hit a great ball. When Frederic Cempenaers fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Torpedo Wietschoate's protests and gave Frederic Cempenaers a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th minute, Frederic Cempenaers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute Jakob Valckeners shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claus Baeten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerard Snieders took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benoit Wuttemans. Benoit Wuttemans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 35th minute Alexander Gheysen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benoit Wuttemans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sylvain De Haes charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sylvain De Haes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sylvain De Haes kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute Jakob Valckeners shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claus Baeten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claus Baeten made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Werner Van de Leest sent off a good shot on target. Jakob Valckeners fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claus Baeten having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jakob Valckeners made a kick off. Claus Baeten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Werner Van de Leest in the 52nd minute of play. Torpedo Wietschoate's Alexander Gheysen got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roben Sanders's late challenge caught a Torpedo Wietschoate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roben Sanders helped the player get up and apologised. If Werner Van de Leest had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bl's Jakob Valckeners got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 65 minutes into the match, Torpedo Wietschoate's goal looked a bit too open when Jakob Valckeners came free, but Claus Baeten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claus Baeten didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jakob Valckeners went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakob Valckeners in the 71st minute of play forced Torpedo Wietschoate's goalkeeper Claus Baeten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benoit Wuttemans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Gheysen in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Alexander Gheysen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benoit Wuttemans, 2-2. Claus Baeten didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jakob Valckeners went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Torpedo Wietschoate's Frederic Cempenaers got his second yellow card of the match in the 93rd minute. The referee ordered Frederic Cempenaers off the ground. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bl had won after a very even match.
