The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Stephan Schautens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daan Aerts in the 3rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, SC Natrium's Jan-Pieter Van Eijcke got a free kick in the 4th minute. Daan Aerts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daan Aerts during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Daan Aerts kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. SC Natrium's Stephan Schautens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roel Dauwe in the 32nd minute of play. Daan Aerts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Stephan Schautens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The long shot by Benne De Boeck in the 37th minute really tested Walter Bruynincx's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Thanks to some nice moves Daan Biermans could shoot a difficult shot in the 39th minute, which Walter Bruynincx however easily saved by the left post. 41 minutes into the match, Ittihad de Tanger's goalkeeper Walter Bruynincx had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daan Biermans. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wesley Van Aken made a kick off. Matt Gielens's late challenge caught a SC Natrium's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matt Gielens helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ittihad de Tanger getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Matt Gielens hit a great ball. Walter Bruynincx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wesley Van Aken in the 53rd minute of play. SC Natrium's Daan Biermans got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roel Dauwe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephan Schautens having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wim Vandommele during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ittihad de Tanger's Wim Vandommele got a free kick in the 81st minute. An unexpected shot in the 84th minute by Roel Dauwe got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ittihad de Tanger's goalkeeper Walter Bruynincx, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. SC Natrium's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
