Wilfried Ryers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephan Schautens having to interfere. Stephan Schautens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Verhengen in the 13th minute of play. Stephan Schautens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfried Ryers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilfried Ryers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Wilfried Ryers managed to get in a good position for a shot. krokante frietjes's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilfried Ryers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stephan Schautens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daan Biermans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Jelle Huvenaerts made a huge save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Wilfried Ryers made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the krokante frietjes defense, Wesley Van Aken kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jelle Huvenaerts. The crowd rose to their feet as krokante frietjes's Wilfried Ryers slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Stephan Schautens. That made the score 1-2 after 91 minutes of play.
