Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gabriel Van Aghten kicked off to start the match. In the 4th match minute, De Panne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frederik Van Boeckost to maneuver through the defense. When Remie Van Deuren came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the De Panne fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remie Van Deuren couldn't finish the play. If Gabriel Van Aghten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, De Panne's Sander Van Brusselen got a free kick in the 10th minute. The supporters of KAA Wauveringen booed when De Panne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tran Daneels didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gabriel Van Aghten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luc Tailleur having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gregoire Koenens got free with Luc Tailleur in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th minute of the match, Gabriel Van Aghten tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Luc Tailleur saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 24 minutes into the match, KAA Wauveringen's Gabriel Van Aghten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luc Tailleur narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sander Van Brusselen hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Fabrice Van Hoof got in the 30th minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Luc Tailleur. This was a shot which ended in a score of 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matty Bernardts during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 37 played minutes KAA Wauveringen got a freekick which was hit by Matty Bernardts. De Panne's Luc Tailleur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save De Panne from getting a goal against them. Luc Tailleur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Van Aghten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Remie Van Deuren managed to get in a good position for a shot. De Panne's supporters rose to their feet, but Remie Van Deuren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Mathy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. KAA Wauveringen's Gregoire Koenens got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Remie Van Deuren was the one to do the kick off. If Gabriel Van Aghten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 54 minutes, Gregoire Koenens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KAA Wauveringen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gregoire Koenens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Mathy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robben Baeyens in the 56th minute. 60 minutes into the match, KAA Wauveringen's Gabriel Van Aghten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luc Tailleur narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 69th minute, Remie Van Deuren reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Mathy. The goal made the score 1-1. De Panne's Luc Tailleur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Van Aghten in the 74th minute of play. Andrew Tijs hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. If Gregoire Koenens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Mathy came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by De Panne's Robben Baeyens. But to his dismay, Robben Baeyens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 94 minutes into the match, De Panne's goal looked a bit too open when Gregoire Koenens came free, but Luc Tailleur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 97th minute, Sander Van Brusselen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. De Panne walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
