Spectators: 6745 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1745, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dany-Adams Dillemans got the match started through his kick off. After 3 played minutes FC.Astene city got a freekick which was hit by Charlie Ruelens. In the 5th minute, Remy Pieters got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 8th minute of the match, Remy Pieters tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jean-Louis Steenbecks saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dany-Adams Dillemans in the 9th minute of play forced Benne FC's goalkeeper Refael Theys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dany-Adams Dillemans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jammy Van Kamp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Jean-Louis Steenbecks made a huge save. Remy Pieters recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Benne FC's Remy Pieters slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jean-Louis Steenbecks. That made the score 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. With his leg Jean-Louis Steenbecks managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Benne FC's Arend Grauwen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nico Rix in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Refael Theys prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Refael Theys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nico Rix, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 37th minute, Remy Pieters reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jean-Louis Steenbecks. The goal made the score 2-0. After a rather tough play, Benne FC's Arend Grauwen got a free kick in the 40th minute. When FC.Astene city's Nico Rix in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Benne FC's goalie prevented a goal. Arend Grauwen charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arend Grauwen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 43rd match minute, Benne FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arend Grauwen to maneuver through the defense. When Nico Rix came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the FC.Astene city fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nico Rix couldn't finish the play. 46 minutes into the game, FC.Astene city's Dany-Adams Dillemans nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Refael Theys made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Remy Pieters to strike the kick off in the second half. Remy Pieters struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Jean-Louis Steenbecks didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Benne FC. If Remy Pieters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to FC.Astene city getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Anthoon Goens hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Jammy Van Kamp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Benne FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jammy Van Kamp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jean-Louis Steenbecks breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Refael Theys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dany-Adams Dillemans, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. The supporters of Benne FC booed when FC.Astene city was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Camps didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laurenz Timmermans was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 78th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 80 minutes into the game, Jammy Van Kamp cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Jean-Louis Steenbecks was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FC.Astene city's Stephen Damman was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Refael Theys in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Arend Grauwen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Benne FC had played much better football throughout.
