Guillaume Demeulemeester started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Guillaume Demeulemeester who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Michael Van Landeghem when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Michael Van Landeghem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillaume Demeulemeester in the 9th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Floris Nys managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sheffield Tuesday's supporters rose to their feet, but Floris Nys was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gert-Jan Vrankx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 13th minute Floris Nys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gert-Jan Vrankx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reinaud Kempeneers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Van Landeghem having to interfere. Guillaume Demeulemeester kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Sheffield Tuesday defense, Guillaume Demeulemeester kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Michael Van Landeghem. The Sheffield Tuesday fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michael Van Landeghem should have stopped the shot. Michael Van Landeghem made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reinaud Kempeneers in the 21st minute. Kieth Neys hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Sheffield Tuesday's Jeremy De Neuter got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute of the match Regis Helssen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Michael Van Landeghem showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 30 minutes of play, Sheffield Tuesday's Johan Weygaerts made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gert-Jan Vrankx was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Johan Weygaerts in the 33rd minute of play forced Racing Dragons's goalkeeper Gert-Jan Vrankx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sheffield Tuesday's Michael Van Landeghem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinaud Kempeneers in the 89th minute of play.
