Spectators: 7533 (Terracing: 5651, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Reemy Van Gestelt started the match with the kick off. When Niel Van Leemputte fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Liverpool FC's protests and gave Niel Van Leemputte a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd match minute, Liverpool FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niel Van Leemputte to maneuver through the defense. 4 minutes into the match, Liverpool FC's goalkeeper Ray Anthonissen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reinaud Kempeneers. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Franck Bastiaens during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Racing Dragons's Guillaume Demeulemeester in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Liverpool FC's goalie prevented a goal. 9 minutes into the match, Liverpool FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guillaume Demeulemeester came free, but Ray Anthonissen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ray Anthonissen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reinaud Kempeneers in the 14th minute. After having played for 15 minutes, Natan Dejonckheere managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liverpool FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Natan Dejonckheere was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Reinaud Kempeneers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Reinaud Kempeneers who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Ray Anthonissen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Guillaume Demeulemeester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Racing Dragons's Guillaume Demeulemeester slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ray Anthonissen. That made the score 1-0 after 33 minutes of play. After 36 played minutes, Racing Dragons's Lode Dekens shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ray Anthonissen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Racing Dragons reached it. 37 minutes into the match, Reinaud Kempeneers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ray Anthonissen. Liverpool FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reinaud Kempeneers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Reinaud Kempeneers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ray Anthonissen having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guillaume Demeulemeester was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Liverpool FC's Hendrik Bautmans got a free kick in the 53rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wart Vanbuyten during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Wart Vanbuyten hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Guillaume Demeulemeester struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Ray Anthonissen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Dragons. In the 65th match minute, Racing Dragons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Regis Helssen to maneuver through the defense. Gert-Jan Vrankx stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reemy Van Gestelt's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute, Reemy Van Gestelt made a precise shot to the right of Gert-Jan Vrankx. Racing Dragons's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Guillaume Demeulemeester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Racing Dragons's Reinaud Kempeneers got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Racing Dragons's Reinaud Kempeneers in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Liverpool FC's goalie prevented a goal. Reemy Van Gestelt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Gert-Jan Vrankx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guillaume Demeulemeester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ray Anthonissen having to interfere. Reinaud Kempeneers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ray Anthonissen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, one of Racing Dragons:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 85th minute there was a penalty for Liverpool FC. Jerome De Swert stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gert-Jan Vrankx. 2-2. After a rather tough play, Liverpool FC's Wart Vanbuyten got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After 94 played minutes Liverpool FC got a freekick which was hit by Wart Vanbuyten. With a little luck, Racing Dragons's Gert-Jan Vrankx got control of the ball when Natan Dejonckheere tried to sneak it across the goal line. There was no doubt that Racing Dragons were the better team. Racing Dragons's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
