Alphonse de la Croix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornelis Van Eijcke in the 16th minute of play. Manuel De Graef didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Noordhofwijk's Mitch Deflandre shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. When Godfried van der Eycken fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Noordhofwijk's protests and gave Godfried van der Eycken a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Noordhofwijk getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Godfried van der Eycken hit a great ball. Cornelis Van Eijcke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alphonse de la Croix having to interfere. Alphonse de la Croix came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by SK Erquennes's Filip Sas. But to his dismay, Filip Sas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Cornelis Van Eijcke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Alphonse de la Croix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Tom Van Buyten managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Erquennes's supporters rose to their feet, but Tom Van Buyten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alphonse de la Croix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mitch Deflandre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tom Van Buyten in the 37th minute of play forced Noordhofwijk's goalkeeper Alphonse de la Croix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SK Erquennes's Tom Van Buyten got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cornelis Van Eijcke to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Tom Van Buyten managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Erquennes's supporters rose to their feet, but Tom Van Buyten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 53rd minute Cornelis Van Eijcke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alphonse de la Croix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cornelis Van Eijcke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Georges Leyman in the 57th minute of play forced SK Erquennes's goalkeeper Manuel De Graef to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alphonse de la Croix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornelis Van Eijcke, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The supporters of SK Erquennes booed when Noordhofwijk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walter Verdonk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alphonse de la Croix made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Tom Van Buyten sent off a good shot on target. Godfried van der Eycken kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 94th of the match, Cornelis Van Eijcke tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Alphonse de la Croix got in the way and made a wonderful save. Alphonse de la Croix made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tom Van Buyten in the 96th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SK Erquennes eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
