If Tom Van Buyten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Cornelis Van Eijcke's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mathieu-Maxim Lieckens was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Fernand Leerbels hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornelis Van Eijcke in the 13th minute of play forced Lopidato FC's goalkeeper Mathieu-Maxim Lieckens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cornelis Van Eijcke might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mathieu-Maxim Lieckens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cornelis Van Eijcke ran back to his position shaking his head. If Tom Van Buyten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mathieu-Maxim Lieckens came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by SK Erquennes's Cornelis Van Eijcke. But to his dismay, Cornelis Van Eijcke quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Mathieu-Maxim Lieckens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornelis Van Eijcke in the 26th minute of the match. After 26 played minutes Lopidato FC got a freekick which was hit by Pieter-Jan Deman. In the 29th minute, Cornelis Van Eijcke made a precise shot to the right of Mathieu-Maxim Lieckens. Lopidato FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 32 minutes into the game, Cornelis Van Eijcke cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Mathieu-Maxim Lieckens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 44th minute Tom Van Buyten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathieu-Maxim Lieckens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mathieu-Maxim Lieckens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornelis Van Eijcke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Filip Sas managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Erquennes's supporters rose to their feet, but Filip Sas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mathieu-Maxim Lieckens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cornelis Van Eijcke made a kick off. Lopidato FC's Mathieu-Maxim Lieckens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Lopidato FC from getting a goal against them. In the 59th minute of the match, Tom Van Buyten got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mathieu-Maxim Lieckens was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Manuel De Graef showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolphe Walters, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Tom Van Buyten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathieu-Maxim Lieckens having to interfere. Cornelis Van Eijcke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathieu-Maxim Lieckens having to interfere. Manuel De Graef showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolphe Walters in the 72nd minute of the match. Pieter-Jan Oelaerts kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Jeffery Reijniers sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Lopidato FC's Mathieu-Maxim Lieckens didn't even have to move. Adolphe Walters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes in the game, Cornelis Van Eijcke fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Mathieu-Maxim Lieckens having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Tom Van Buyten fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mathieu-Maxim Lieckens, passed just outside the right post. In the 92nd minute Cornelis Van Eijcke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathieu-Maxim Lieckens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lopidato FC's Mathieu-Maxim Lieckens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelis Van Eijcke in the 95th minute of play. Arnold Vandenbosch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel De Graef having to interfere. SK Erquennes played a much better game than Lopidato FC and deserved their victory. The Lopidato FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
