Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Andrew De Metser showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristen Kerkhofs in the 8th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Charles-Antoine Gysens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the match, Zele's Karel-Jan Van Haght sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Camiel Callaerts narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karel-Jan Van Haght in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Camiel Callaerts saved Senior Citizens RC from getting behind. Karel-Jan Van Haght fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camiel Callaerts having to interfere. If Maurice Van Damme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the game, one of Zele:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 23rd minute there was a penalty for Senior Citizens RC. Jan-Pieter Demeester stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Andrew De Metser. 0-1. Kristen Kerkhofs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrew De Metser having to interfere. Zele's Daniel Van Den Abeele got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 29 minutes, Charles-Antoine Gysens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Senior Citizens RC and the Zele players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th minute, Charles-Antoine Gysens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Zele's Daniel Van Den Abeele got a free kick in the 30th minute. A collision led to Zele getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Sebastian Uytterhoeven hit a great ball. Zele's Sebastian Uytterhoeven got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Siebe Peten managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zele's supporters rose to their feet, but Siebe Peten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Camiel Callaerts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Uytterhoeven got free with Camiel Callaerts in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The wind increased when Daniel Van Den Abeele made the kick off in the second half. Daniel Van Den Abeele struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Camiel Callaerts didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zele. Zele's Daniel Van Den Abeele got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 70 minutes into the game, Ruud Van De Broeck was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zele's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Senior Citizens RC the free kick. Kristen Kerkhofs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Zele's goalkeeper Andrew De Metser had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maurice Van Damme. When Maurice Van Damme came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Senior Citizens RC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurice Van Damme couldn't finish the play. Maurice Van Damme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Camiel Callaerts stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Van Den Abeele's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Charles-Antoine Gysens kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Senior Citizens RC's Camiel Callaerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siebe Peten in the 84th minute of play. The Senior Citizens RC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
