Maxim-Alexander Mallaerts in the 7thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gunther Rondas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gunther Rondas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maxim-Alexander Mallaerts in the 12th minute. Matias Mesmaekers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Robin Van Nel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maxim-Alexander Mallaerts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunther Rondas having to interfere. In the 18th match minute, Sporting Aalst was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frits Klinkenberg to maneuver through the defense. Gunther Rondas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maxim-Alexander Mallaerts in the 19th minute. An unexpected shot in the 20th minute by Brian Godet got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Gunther Rondas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brian Godet in the 24th minute of the match. After 27 played minutes Sporting Aalst got a freekick which was hit by Frits Klinkenberg. Maxim-Alexander Mallaerts in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. In the 34th minute Brian Godet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunther Rondas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maxim-Alexander Mallaerts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Brian Godet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brian Godet struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Gunther Rondas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for St. Norbert College. Gunther Rondas made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Maxim-Alexander Mallaerts sent off a good shot on target. After 46 played minutes Sporting Aalst got a freekick which was hit by Frits Klinkenberg.

Matias Mesmaekers's late challenge caught a St. Norbert College's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matias Mesmaekers helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Sporting Aalst getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Matias Mesmaekers hit a great ball. The supporters of St. Norbert College booed when Sporting Aalst was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matias De Vriendt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brian Godet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maxim-Alexander Mallaerts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunther Rondas having to interfere. Gunther Rondas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brian Godet in the 71st minute of play. A collision led to Sporting Aalst getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Frits Klinkenberg hit a great ball. Maxim-Alexander Mallaerts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute, Maxim-Alexander Mallaerts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sporting Aalst's Gunther Rondas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxim-Alexander Mallaerts in the 78th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Maxim-Alexander Mallaerts ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gunther Rondas was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Gunther Rondas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brian Godet, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Maxim-Alexander Mallaerts managed to get in a good position for a shot. St. Norbert College's supporters rose to their feet, but Maxim-Alexander Mallaerts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gunther Rondas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maxim-Alexander Mallaerts in the 97th minute of play forced Sporting Aalst's goalkeeper Gunther Rondas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that St. Norbert College were the better team. St. Norbert College's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
