Antoine Gijselinkx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Sven Verhoeven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilles Luyten succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 5th playminute. Sven Verhoeven showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Van Beetz, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Gilles Luyten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Charles De Koning made a huge save. Charles De Koning was a little too slow when Gilles Luyten got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 2-0. Adam Van Beetz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Sven Verhoeven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Anton De Mare got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adam Van Beetz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommas Van Turnhout fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven Verhoeven having to interfere. Anton De Mare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anton De Mare kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. KV Mechelen's Tommas Van Turnhout got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tommas Van Turnhout received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. KV Mechelen's Charles De Koning proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 49th minute of the match, managed to save KV Mechelen from getting a goal against them. Tommas Van Turnhout recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Lander De Custer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicolas van Goetsenhoven during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 67th minute, Nicolas van Goetsenhoven hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorre Celis struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Sven Verhoeven didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KV Mechelen. After a rather tough play, Lowridas's Mathieu Volders got a free kick in the 77th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 80th minute of the game. One of Lowridas:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of KV Mechelen:s goal. The goalkeeper, Sven Verhoeven, was totally fooled by KV Mechelen's Matthew Moerman, who 81 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 92 played minutes KV Mechelen got a freekick which was hit by Jorre Celis. If Tommas Van Turnhout had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mathieu Volders's late challenge caught a KV Mechelen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mathieu Volders helped the player get up and apologised. 100 minutes into the match, Anton De Mare had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Charles De Koning. KV Mechelen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anton De Mare was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Lowridas's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
