When Lorenz Huijsmans came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Merge Panch fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lorenz Huijsmans couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Sammy De Smedt managed to get in a good position for a shot. KSV Lambermont's supporters rose to their feet, but Sammy De Smedt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remco Smets breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luuk Kloots made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Izak De Weerdt during the 51st minute. Remco Smets was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Merge Panch's zone, Albert Verelst stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remco Smets came out of the goal and Albert Verelst tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Merge Panch's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mathieux Olemans was slow to take the kick. During this time KSV Lambermont's players had a chance to rest. After a rather tough play, KSV Lambermont's Albert Verelst got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Lorenz Huijsmans managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merge Panch's supporters rose to their feet, but Lorenz Huijsmans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The Merge Panch supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching KSV Lambermont's performance. The match ended with a win for KSV Lambermont.
