Cederik Ooms stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gill Justus's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Jammy Van Beets received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Will De Boeck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, one of KVV Zelzate:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for KVV Zelzate. The referee gave Sassport Boezinge a penalty, 39 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Wim Van den Berch, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of KVV Zelzate's Will De Boeck. 2-0. In the 42nd minute, Gill Justus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cederik Ooms was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Jammy Van Beets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Will De Boeck having to interfere. Yanis Kerselaers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jammy Van Beets struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Will De Boeck didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sassport Boezinge. In the 71st minute, Franck Cornelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cederik Ooms showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gill Justus, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. When Geoffry Visch fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KVV Zelzate's protests and gave Geoffry Visch a yellow card for diving instead. Geoffry Visch hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Franck Cornelis kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Sassport Boezinge were the better team. Sassport Boezinge's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
