The KSV Lambermont fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerrit Storms should have stopped the shot. If Albert Verelst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had been going on for 21 minutes, KSV Lambermont's Mathieux Olemans got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Franky Goethals. Sammy De Smedt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Franky Goethals made a huge save. Franky Goethals showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sammy De Smedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After 29 played minutes Ol Dirty Bastards got a freekick which was hit by Pieter Cremers. Michel Bormans's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gerrit Storms read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. KSV Lambermont's Albert Verelst was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 34th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 38th match minute, KSV Lambermont was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bass Van Hole to maneuver through the defense. Ol Dirty Bastards's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Albert Verelst scored to the left of an out of position Franky Goethals, making the score, 3-1. When Steffe Lefevre fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ol Dirty Bastards's protests and gave Steffe Lefevre a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th match minute, Ol Dirty Bastards was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steffe Lefevre to maneuver through the defense. Franky Goethals made a fantastic save in the 49th minute, when Youri vrolix sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. Michel Bormans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerrit Storms having to interfere. Franky Goethals showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sammy De Smedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ol Dirty Bastards fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 62nd minute. Penalty! 64 minutes into the match, Ol Dirty Bastards's goal looked a bit too open when Sammy De Smedt came free, but Franky Goethals reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, KSV Lambermont's Albert Verelst nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Franky Goethals made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Sammy De Smedt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Franky Goethals having to make a save. Ol Dirty Bastards's Jorge Audenaert got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 78 minutes, Sammy De Smedt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KSV Lambermont's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sammy De Smedt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81st minute, Herbert de Pelsmakere hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Franky Goethals showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sammy De Smedt in the 86th minute of the match. The supporters of KSV Lambermont booed when Ol Dirty Bastards was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herbert de Pelsmakere didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Albert Verelst's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franky Goethals was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sammy De Smedt in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Franky Goethals prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Michel Bormans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sammy De Smedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franky Goethals having to interfere. KSV Lambermont walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
