Richy Bosmans struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Stephan De Meulder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moerdijk. Albertus Smidts charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albertus Smidts the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Moerdijk getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Albertus Smidts hit a great ball. After 10 played minutes, KMSK DEINZE's Jeoffrey Spoelberchs shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jim Meersman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in KMSK DEINZE reached it. In the 12th minute, Oswald Worteler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stephan De Meulder was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Franck Calstermans. Mitch Cuejvers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Jim Meersman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kristof Degraef during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Stephan De Meulder was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Franck Calstermans. If Richy Bosmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Moerdijk's Richy Bosmans sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stephan De Meulder narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kim Thielens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Stephan De Meulder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to KMSK DEINZE getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Oswald Worteler hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Kim Thielens kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Stephan De Meulder. That made the score 1-0 in the 39 minute of play. Jim Meersman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddy Smekens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Mitch Cuejvers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mitch Cuejvers made a kick off. Tim-Jan De Roover hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Kim Thielens struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Stephan De Meulder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moerdijk. Kim Thielens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Kim Thielens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 57 played minutes KMSK DEINZE got a freekick which was hit by Rocky Van den Inde. Moerdijk's Kim Thielens got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 65 minutes of play Moerdijk's Albertus Smidts was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Albertus Smidts kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Gilles De Putter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Kristof Degraef was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 84 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, KMSK DEINZE's Kristof Degraef got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind KMSK DEINZE's goalkeeper Stephan De Meulder, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Stephan De Meulder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kim Thielens, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The supporters of KMSK DEINZE booed when Moerdijk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richy Bosmans didn't get a good kick on the ball. The KMSK DEINZE players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Moerdijk from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
