In the 3rd minute, Fabrice Goolen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 9th minute by Robbe Rompen got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Werner Elsens came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Geten fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Werner Elsens couldn't finish the play. Werner Elsens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Tomas Engelborgh fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Geten's protests and gave Tomas Engelborgh a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Geten getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Tomas Engelborgh hit a great ball. If Willem Oyen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Frank Latomme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willem Oyen in the 25th minute of play forced Geten's goalkeeper Thierry Deckers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Fabrice Goolen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 32 minutes into the game, Wilskerke's Fabrice Goolen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thierry Deckers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Wilskerke's Timmy Moons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Werner Elsens in the 37th minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Geten's Dre Van hoegaerde nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Timmy Moons made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Dre Van hoegaerde recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thierry Deckers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabrice Goolen in the 45th minute. Fabrice Goolen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Thierry Deckers made a huge save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Willem Oyen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Werner Elsens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute Fabrice Goolen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thierry Deckers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Werner Elsens's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Timmy Moons read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. When Fabrice Goolen came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Wilskerke fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabrice Goolen couldn't finish the play. The corner ended in Jakob Van Dongel almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Wilskerke's Timmy Moons did a great save. Robbe Rompen charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robbe Rompen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Robbe Rompen kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Dre Van hoegaerde recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Timmy Moons showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Werner Elsens, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Dre Van hoegaerde got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Fabrice Goolen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Timmy Moons made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dre Van hoegaerde in the 92nd minute. Geten's Thierry Deckers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Willem Oyen in the 94th minute of play. Fabrice Goolen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thierry Deckers having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
