After 18 played minutes Uitkerke got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Clement. Thijs Jenken's shot from long distance in the 25th minute was not bad at all, but KMSK DEINZE's Stephan De Meulder knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. 26 minutes into the game, Joost vrolijx was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uitkerke's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KMSK DEINZE the free kick. A collision led to Uitkerke getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Joost vrolijx hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Gery Humbelets got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half.
