VC Warande's Diedrik Roosendael quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Mario Roggen, made in the 10th minute of the game. After 24 minutes, Nickolas Aerts mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Antwerp and the VC Warande players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th minute Bryan Imbrechs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reinard De Geest saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henrik Jannis charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Henrik Jannis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. VC Warande's Reinard De Geest proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save VC Warande from getting a goal against them. In the 58th match minute, Antwerp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nickolas Aerts to maneuver through the defense. Bryan Imbrechs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Reinard De Geest tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
