In the 2nd match minute, Antwerp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nickolas Aerts to maneuver through the defense. After 4 played minutes Moerdijk got a freekick which was hit by Matijs Worteleers. Richy Bosmans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Kristof Wuyts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th play minute Gustaaf Jans came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jim Meersman. 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bryan Imbrechs in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jim Meersman saved Moerdijk from getting behind. Jim Meersman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bryan Imbrechs's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Richy Bosmans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristof Wuyts having to interfere. Kristof Wuyts came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Moerdijk's Richy Bosmans. But to his dismay, Richy Bosmans quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Luckas Koppen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Antwerp's supporters rose to their feet, but Luckas Koppen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jim Meersman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jim Meersman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bryan Imbrechs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 32 in the game by Bryan Imbrechs from a close distance when the talented Jim Meersman managed to make a qualified save. Moerdijk's players were relieved. Bryan Imbrechs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Jim Meersman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustaaf Jans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Jim Meersman made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Bryan Imbrechs kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jim Meersman. That made the score 2-1 in the 44 minute of play. Gustaaf Jans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Jim Meersman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Jim Meersman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Jans, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. When Gustaaf Jans came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Antwerp fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustaaf Jans couldn't finish the play. When Antwerp's Bryan Imbrechs in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Moerdijk's goalie prevented a goal. In the 60th minute, Jens Stocks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute, Bryan Imbrechs left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Antwerp fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Gustaaf Jans struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. After having played for 69 minutes, Kim Thielens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moerdijk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kim Thielens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 94 played minutes Antwerp got a freekick which was hit by Bryan Imbrechs. Moerdijk's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
