Spectators: 6791 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1741, VIP seats: 50) 6 minutes into the match, Tom Roofhoof notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Fc Mancunians's Romain Volders. Romain Volders was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Henri Sulems charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Henri Sulems the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tom Roofhoof took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Romain Volders. Romain Volders dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Jorden Verhulst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yens Baumans having to interfere. In the 19th play minute Jorden Verhulst came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Yens Baumans. 1-2. Koen Hemelaers struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Romain Volders didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SL Benfica. 1-3 became the score in the 28th minute when Tom Roofhoof elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Tom Roofhoof scored 1-4 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Romain Volders, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 42 minutes into the game, Koen Hemelaers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Romain Volders was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Fc Mancunians players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SL Benfica were winning 1-7.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tom Roofhoof made a kick off. Fc Mancunians's Romain Volders proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Fc Mancunians from getting a goal against them. Andrez Machiels took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yens Baumans. Yens Baumans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-7. Romain Volders didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Koen Hemelaers went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-8 was the resulting score. When Lucas Westelinx came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the SL Benfica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Westelinx couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Koen Hemelaers managed to get in a good position for a shot. SL Benfica's supporters rose to their feet, but Koen Hemelaers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romain Volders breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Romain Volders showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gertjan Vrins, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Basiel Dumont, 75 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 77th match minute, Fc Mancunians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henri Sulems to maneuver through the defense. The corner led SL Benfica's Basiel Dumont to fire away a dangerous shot which Romain Volders despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Koen Hemelaers got free with Romain Volders in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tom Roofhoof received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Romain Volders tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romain Volders made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Koen Hemelaers sent off a good shot on target. Koen Hemelaers in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Romain Volders, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tom Roofhoof in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romain Volders saved Fc Mancunians from getting behind. When Tom Roofhoof came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the SL Benfica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tom Roofhoof couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the SL Benfica defense, Andrez Machiels kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yens Baumans. The SL Benfica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yens Baumans should have stopped the shot. In the 95th minute Tom Roofhoof shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romain Volders saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SL Benfica walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
