FC Nitipong United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 9th minute, Tom De Ceuster got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC Nitipong United's zone, Tom De Ceuster stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antoine Backers came out of the goal and Tom De Ceuster tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 15 minutes, Alex Beekman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Nitipong United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Beekman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of FC Nitipong United booed when Borchtlombeek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominik Koens didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, FC Nitipong United's goalkeeper Antoine Backers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matthew Van den Sande. 37 minutes into the game, Matthew Van den Sande cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Antoine Backers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Horemans in the 44th minute of play forced Borchtlombeek's goalkeeper Jan-Joost Bellinkx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matthew Van den Sande got free with Antoine Backers in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benjamin Horemans made a kick off. Matthew Van den Sande's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antoine Backers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. After 61 played minutes Borchtlombeek got a freekick which was hit by Gaetan Preuveneer. After having played for 63 minutes, Alex Beekman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Nitipong United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Beekman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jan-Joost Bellinkx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matthew Van den Sande's late challenge caught a FC Nitipong United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matthew Van den Sande helped the player get up and apologised. After 74 played minutes Borchtlombeek got a freekick which was hit by Matthew Van den Sande. FC Nitipong United's Benjamin Horemans got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthew Van den Sande in the 80th minute of play forced FC Nitipong United's goalkeeper Antoine Backers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tom De Ceuster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antoine Backers having to interfere. Tom De Ceuster might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antoine Backers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tom De Ceuster ran back to his position shaking his head. If Matthew Van den Sande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamin Horemans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Jan-Joost Bellinkx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jan-Joost Bellinkx made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Alex Beekman sent off a good shot on target. FC Nitipong United's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
