RSC Brabant's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Greg De Tapp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernd Omblet in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claus Verschelde prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Selange's Luke Konings shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 74th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Tommy De Jaeger but with some difficulty. Norbert Van De Velden hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. When Bernard Waron came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Selange fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernard Waron couldn't finish the play. 79 minutes into the match, RSC Brabant's goal looked a bit too open when Tran De Scheper came free, but Tommy De Jaeger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by George Verdonk during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Selange booed when RSC Brabant was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. George Verdonk didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Selange had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
