An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudi Klinkenberg in the 15th minute of play forced Molenbeek-Wersbeek's goalkeeper Douglas Van Ghele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18 played minutes Olympia Beerschot 13 got a freekick which was hit by Victor Claevers. Andries Waterloos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brend Bernaerts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Jeremey Verhaghen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Douglas Van Ghele came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Olympia Beerschot 13's Rudi Klinkenberg. But to his dismay, Rudi Klinkenberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 28th minute, Dolf Toeback ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Douglas Van Ghele was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 31 minutes into the match, Molenbeek-Wersbeek's goal looked a bit too open when Rudi Klinkenberg came free, but Douglas Van Ghele reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Douglas Van Ghele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dolf Van de Loock in the 33rd minute of play. Brend Bernaerts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Rudi Klinkenberg fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olympia Beerschot 13's protests and gave Rudi Klinkenberg a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th minute, Rudi Klinkenberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeremey Verhaghen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brend Bernaerts in the 72nd minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gill Wery couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Brend Bernaerts's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeremey Verhaghen was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Olympia Beerschot 13 walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
