After a defensive mix-up in Daring Ruddervoorde's zone, Gill Wery stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nick Van Aerschodt came out of the goal and Gill Wery tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Brend Bernaerts's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nick Van Aerschodt was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Andries Waterloos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. In the 61stth minute of the game Brend Bernaerts who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Daring Ruddervoorde's Nick Van Aerschodt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daring Ruddervoorde's Xavier Klaes shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 78th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Douglas Van Ghele but with some difficulty. The supporters of Molenbeek-Wersbeek booed when Daring Ruddervoorde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cedric Haeselaers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Molenbeek-Wersbeek's Brend Bernaerts got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brend Bernaerts in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nick Van Aerschodt saved Daring Ruddervoorde from getting behind. If Andries Waterloos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Gill Wery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Molenbeek-Wersbeek lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
