Kamiel Peers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Qwinten Van Meel in the 6th minute of the match. A collision led to ADO Den Haag getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Waud Sterckmans hit a great ball. Qwinten Van Meel, 7 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Carel Vermeulen kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Frank Valckx scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kamiel Peers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Yoachim Van Bettenrode managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Brussels's supporters rose to their feet, but Yoachim Van Bettenrode was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kamiel Peers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kamiel Peers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Valckx in the 21st minute of play. Kamiel Peers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yoachim Van Bettenrode went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. A nice corner shot did that Qwinten Van Meel got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Kamiel Peers quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 32nd minute, Frank Valckx got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Qwinten Van Meel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Kamiel Peers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind ADO Den Haag's goalkeeper Kamiel Peers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Frank Valckx made the kick off in the second half. When SC Brussels's Frank Valckx in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ADO Den Haag's goalie prevented a goal. When Yoachim Van Bettenrode came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the SC Brussels fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yoachim Van Bettenrode couldn't finish the play. 57 minutes into the match, Jannic Valcke had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jannis Ivens. SC Brussels's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jannic Valcke was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. After 61 played minutes SC Brussels got a freekick which was hit by Jaspar De Bougne. 62 minutes into the match, ADO Den Haag's Maurice Machiels broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Frank Valckx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frank Valckx in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kamiel Peers saved ADO Den Haag from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Frank Valckx managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Brussels's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Valckx was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kamiel Peers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 77 minutes in the game, Frank Valckx fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Kamiel Peers having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Frank Valckx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frederic Goorts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Valckx in the 93rd minute of play forced ADO Den Haag's goalkeeper Kamiel Peers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kamiel Peers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Valckx in the 97th minute of play. The ADO Den Haag fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SC Brussels were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
