The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Seraing United's Jasper Weygaerts proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Seraing United from getting a goal against them. In the 4th minute, Perry Vits got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Diederik den Ronden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dion-Le-Mont's supporters rose to their feet, but Diederik den Ronden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jasper Weygaerts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jasper Weygaerts had great luck who in the 12thth minute grab hold of the ball when Diederik den Ronden from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Diederik den Ronden's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Jasper Weygaerts skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Diederik den Ronden came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Dion-Le-Mont fans jumped to their feet. In the 21st minute Diederik den Ronden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jasper Weygaerts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Diederik den Ronden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuel Stoffels kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Jasper Weygaerts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diederik den Ronden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dion-Le-Mont's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Seraing United's Jasper Weygaerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diederik den Ronden in the 42nd minute of play. If Diederik den Ronden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jasper Weygaerts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diederik den Ronden in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diederik den Ronden to make the kick off. Samuel Stoffels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Diederik den Ronden's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jasper Weygaerts was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. In the 69th minute, Diederik den Ronden left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Perry Vits charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Perry Vits the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Perry Vits came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Dion-Le-Mont fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Perry Vits couldn't finish the play.
