An unexpected shot in the 5th minute by Wannes Delen got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of New Gen FC booed when F.C Roeselare was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arno Ghesels didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sam-Lucas Neefs in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivan Hemelaers saved F.C Roeselare from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Sam-Lucas Neefs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ivan Hemelaers was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Wannes Delen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. William Verbeeck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. William Verbeeck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. F.C Roeselare's Carel Van Linthoudt got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 33 minutes into the game, Wannes Delen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of William Verbeeck. Wannes Delen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Sam-Lucas Neefs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Kenney Hennes put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ivan Hemelaers. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 67 minutes into the match, New Gen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arno Ghesels came free, but William Verbeeck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carel Van Linthoudt charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carel Van Linthoudt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to F.C Roeselare getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Carel Van Linthoudt hit a great ball. In the 71st minute, Arno Ghesels hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kenney Hennes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Hemelaers having to interfere. 77 minutes into the game, F.C Roeselare's Wannes Delen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. William Verbeeck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 81 minutes into the match, New Gen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arno Ghesels came free, but William Verbeeck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, F.C Roeselare's goal looked a bit too open when Kenney Hennes came free, but Ivan Hemelaers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
