After 17 minutes, Joost De Raeijmaeker mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Draconia 2 and the FC Assenede players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Harry Cox managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Assenede's supporters rose to their feet, but Harry Cox was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Richey Englebert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Draconia 2's Richey Englebert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harry Cox in the 28th minute of play. Jordi Smidts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Gunther Hulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harry Cox sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, Gilbert Uijterhove ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richey Englebert was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Harry Cox made a kick off. If Harry Cox had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilbert Uijterhove fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richey Englebert having to interfere. Gunther Hulsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jordi Smidts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, FC Assenede's goal looked a bit too open when Jacques Streels came free, but Gunther Hulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Richey Englebert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilbert Uijterhove, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilbert Uijterhove recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Draconia 2's Joost De Raeijmaeker got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Richey Englebert came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Assenede's Gilbert Uijterhove. But to his dismay, Gilbert Uijterhove quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Richey Englebert was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Harry Cox capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Harry Cox really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Gilbert Uijterhove blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Richey Englebert having to make a save. Harry Cox received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Richey Englebert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mark Van Herendael during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gilbert Uijterhove in the 97thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Richey Englebert, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The FC Draconia 2 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Assenede were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
