Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jeremie Van Huruck kicked off to start the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Henrik Reijers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alster's supporters rose to their feet, but Henrik Reijers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Sommers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 16 minutes, Louis-Philippe Van De Velden managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alster's supporters crossed their fingers, but Louis-Philippe Van De Velden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Kerkbrugge getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Fransesco De Witte hit a great ball. Kerkbrugge's Miguel Sommers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrik Reijers in the 29th minute of play. Henrik Reijers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Sommers having to interfere. 38 minutes into the game, Aime Quvelirs was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kerkbrugge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alster the free kick. Joos Van Severen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aime Quvelirs, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Alster's Henrik Reijers got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Louis-Philippe Van De Velden in the 47th minute of play forced Kerkbrugge's goalkeeper Miguel Sommers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Henrik Reijers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Sommers having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benedict Daniels during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kerkbrugge! Joos Van Severen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richmond Wintermans in the 61st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Kerkbrugge defense, Louis-Philippe Van De Velden kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miguel Sommers. The Kerkbrugge fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miguel Sommers should have stopped the shot. Joos Van Severen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremie Van Huruck in the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremie Van Huruck in the 77th minute of play forced Alster's goalkeeper Joos Van Severen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alster's Henrik Reijers got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Kerkbrugge's Jeremie Van Huruck in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Richmond Wintermans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joos Van Severen having to interfere. When Benoit Isemborgh fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alster's protests and gave Benoit Isemborgh a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th minute, Benoit Isemborgh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Louis-Philippe Van De Velden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 101st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Alster supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Alster would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
