Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Freddy Capelle kicked off to start the match. After some careless play in the Racing Genk defense, Franck Cappels kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guilian Vits. The Racing Genk fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guilian Vits should have stopped the shot. In the 15th minute, Franck Cappels got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 16 minutes into the game, Guy Sterks was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Racing Genk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Milano Football Club the free kick. After 16 played minutes Racing Genk got a freekick which was hit by Guy Sterks. Milano Football Club's Freddy Capelle was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 17th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Kieth De Ketelaere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basiel Van Leemput, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Brian Vermeiren kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Guy Sterks was shown his second yellow card after 28 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 29th minute, Guy Sterks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Milano Football Club's Herbert Walters tried to score from far away in the 30th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Freddy Capelle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Guilian Vits tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 34 minutes, Freddy Capelle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Milano Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Freddy Capelle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Capelle in the 36th minute of play forced Racing Genk's goalkeeper Guilian Vits to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Racing Genk's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Freddy Capelle fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Basiel Van Leemput sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
