Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mateo Peters started the match with the kick off. Nic Vos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateo Peters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute, Brend Smedts reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Charl Weijnandts. The goal made the score 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in La Furia Roja's zone, Brend Smedts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charl Weijnandts came out of the goal and Brend Smedts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Maurice De Kelper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute Brend Smedts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charl Weijnandts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Tran Haentjens fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Furia Roja's protests and gave Tran Haentjens a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of KSV Vlasmeer booed when La Furia Roja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tran Haentjens didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Brend Smedts came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the KSV Vlasmeer fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brend Smedts couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute Albertus Helsens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nic Vos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 minutes, Maurice De Kelper made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. La Furia Roja's Charl Weijnandts tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Brend Smedts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brend Smedts made a kick off. KSV Vlasmeer's Maurice De Kelper got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Charl Weijnandts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brend Smedts in the 54th minute of play. Maurice De Kelper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Charl Weijnandts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brend Smedts struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Charl Weijnandts didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KSV Vlasmeer. Albertus Helsens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Nic Vos made a huge save. A collision led to La Furia Roja getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Tran Haentjens hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the match, Brend Smedts notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of La Furia Roja's Charl Weijnandts. Charl Weijnandts was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Mateo Peters's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nic Vos was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. In the 83rd minute Mateo Peters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nic Vos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 played minutes KSV Vlasmeer got a freekick which was hit by Godfried Van den Haute. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Albertus Helsens managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Furia Roja's supporters rose to their feet, but Albertus Helsens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nic Vos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86th minute, Mateo Peters got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Albertus Helsens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maurice De Kelper might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Charl Weijnandts. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maurice De Kelper ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 98th minute, Brend Smedts made a precise shot to the right of Charl Weijnandts. La Furia Roja's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. KSV Vlasmeer's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
