An unexpectedly hard shot by Jamie Van den Berchen in the 44th minute of play forced KV Etterbeek's goalkeeper Jean Roels to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jean Roels didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Willem-Alexander Kersselaers went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jamie Van den Berchen to make the kick off. Jamie Van den Berchen was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 53rd minute. Kortesem's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Willem-Alexander Kersselaers showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. KV Etterbeek's Jean Roels played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jamie Van den Berchen in the 68th minute of play. After some careless play in the KV Etterbeek defense, Willem-Alexander Kersselaers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jean Roels. The KV Etterbeek fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jean Roels should have stopped the shot. Brent Bastin was extremely unlucky when he, in the 73rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out.
