Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) When Maurice De Kelper came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the KSV Vlasmeer fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurice De Kelper couldn't finish the play. Mathieux Decaluwe hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, KSV Vlasmeer's Jose Wijns tried to score from far away in the 8th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Frank Sterckx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nic Vos having to interfere. Wout Van Dijck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brend Smedts in the 18th minute of play. Frank Sterckx blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nic Vos having to make a save. 30 minutes into the match, Battice's goal looked a bit too open when Brend Smedts came free, but Wout Van Dijck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the game, Gustave Verelst was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Battice's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KSV Vlasmeer the free kick. In the 32nd minute, Brend Smedts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brend Smedts's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wout Van Dijck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Brend Smedts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nic Vos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Sterckx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wout Van Dijck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godfried Van den Haute in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brend Smedts was the one to do the kick off. Alan De Bisschop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maurice De Kelper struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Wout Van Dijck didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KSV Vlasmeer. Wout Van Dijck made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Maurice De Kelper sent off a good shot on target. 73 minutes into the match, Battice's goalkeeper Wout Van Dijck had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maurice De Kelper. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Maurice De Kelper managed to get in a good position for a shot. KSV Vlasmeer's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurice De Kelper was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wout Van Dijck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wout Van Dijck was a little too slow when Brend Smedts got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 0-2. Frank Sterckx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nic Vos having to interfere. Wout Van Dijck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brend Smedts in the 95th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Battice's goalkeeper Wout Van Dijck had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maurice De Kelper. The KSV Vlasmeer players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
