In the 12th minute, Gert-Jan Dedecker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 14 minutes into the game, Julien Van de Wal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tiegem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KV Etterbeek the free kick. Gert-Jan Dedecker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stein Van Geestel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Gert-Jan Dedecker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The wind increased when Julien Van de Wal made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gert-Jan Dedecker in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stein Van Geestel saved Tiegem from getting behind. Alexandre Lanphan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the match, Gert-Jan Dedecker notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Tiegem's Stein Van Geestel. Stein Van Geestel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Stein Van Geestel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gert-Jan Dedecker in the 65th minute of the match. After 67 minutes, Gert-Jan Dedecker made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Tiegem's Stein Van Geestel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Stein Van Geestel came out of the goal and Gert-Jan Dedecker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stein Van Geestel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gert-Jan Dedecker in the 74th minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Tiegem's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Lanphan came free, but Stein Van Geestel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gert-Jan Dedecker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gert-Jan Dedecker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stein Van Geestel having to interfere. Gert-Jan Dedecker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Stein Van Geestel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
