Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Brend Smedts started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 7 minutes into the game, Frank Sterckx was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Battice's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KSV Vlasmeer the free kick. Matthy Gebuers charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matthy Gebuers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Alan De Bisschop had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nic Vos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sterckx, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustave Verelst in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nic Vos saved KSV Vlasmeer from getting behind. Brend Smedts's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Wout Van Dijck skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Battice's goalkeeper Wout Van Dijck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Alan De Bisschop had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Battice's Frank Sterckx got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Frank Sterckx notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of KSV Vlasmeer's Nic Vos. Nic Vos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nic Vos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sterckx in the 44th minute of play. Alan De Bisschop fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 47th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

56 minutes into the match, KSV Vlasmeer's Maurice De Kelper sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wout Van Dijck narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Battice's Wout Van Dijck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brend Smedts in the 61st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Frank Sterckx managed to get in a good position for a shot. Battice's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Sterckx was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nic Vos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wout Van Dijck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurice De Kelper, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Alan De Bisschop's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nic Vos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Maurice De Kelper made a precise shot to the right of Wout Van Dijck. Battice's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Brend Smedts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wout Van Dijck having to interfere. 88 minutes into the game, KSV Vlasmeer's Maurice De Kelper nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wout Van Dijck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Frank Sterckx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nic Vos having to interfere. In the 94th minute Maurice De Kelper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wout Van Dijck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The KSV Vlasmeer players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
