FC Geselle City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Relst the free kick. The supporters of Relst booed when FC Geselle City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benny Rutgeerts didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yanniek Lefevere might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Will Tombuer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yanniek Lefevere ran back to his position shaking his head. Maurice Van Huyck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Will Tombuer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ief Langendonck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Geselle City's Will Tombuer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stein Van Aerschodt in the 18th minute of play. After some careless play in the Relst defense, Stanny Raeijmaeckers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robbie Vergau. The Relst fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robbie Vergau should have stopped the shot. Stanny Raeijmaeckers took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robbie Vergau. Robbie Vergau dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Robbie Vergau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ief Langendonck in the 38th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Stanny Raeijmaeckers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robbie Vergau having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Relst's Matthis Verbeke got a free kick in the 54th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Harald Hemeleers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Relst's supporters rose to their feet, but Harald Hemeleers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Will Tombuer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Robbie Vergau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stanny Raeijmaeckers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Ief Langendonck managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Geselle City's supporters rose to their feet, but Ief Langendonck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robbie Vergau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 74 minutes into the match, FC Geselle City's goal looked a bit too open when Stein Van Aerschodt came free, but Will Tombuer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to FC Geselle City getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Jannic Engelboorgs hit a great ball. 82 minutes into the match, Relst's goal looked a bit too open when Stanny Raeijmaeckers came free, but Robbie Vergau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Stanny Raeijmaeckers managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Geselle City's supporters rose to their feet, but Stanny Raeijmaeckers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robbie Vergau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There was no doubt that FC Geselle City were the better team. FC Geselle City's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
