Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hubert Gheysen took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Franky Conincx got free with Viktor Verhaert in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benne Van Damme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Jeremy Fraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When KVSK Ursel's Antonio Debock in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Schoonbroek's goalie prevented a goal. Kim Vinckx charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kim Vinckx the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th minute, Kim Vinckx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Franky Conincx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Viktor Verhaert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hubert Gheysen in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Viktor Verhaert saved KVSK Ursel from getting behind. After 21 minutes, Henri-Xavier Van Cauwenbergh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KVSK Ursel and the Schoonbroek players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 22 played minutes KVSK Ursel got a freekick which was hit by Henri-Xavier Van Cauwenbergh. In the 22nd minute, Robin Claes sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and KVSK Ursel's Viktor Verhaert didn't even have to move. After a defensive mix-up in KVSK Ursel's zone, Franky Conincx stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viktor Verhaert came out of the goal and Franky Conincx tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd match minute, KVSK Ursel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Neels to maneuver through the defense. Jeremy Fraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Debock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hubert Gheysen was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 38th minute. Schoonbroek's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Yoeri Vandommele fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Schoonbroek's protests and gave Yoeri Vandommele a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Schoonbroek's Yoeri Vandommele got a free kick in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benne Van Damme to make the kick off. Schoonbroek's supporters rose to their feet, but Hubert Gheysen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viktor Verhaert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Viktor Verhaert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hubert Gheysen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Hubert Gheysen came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Schoonbroek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hubert Gheysen couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, KVSK Ursel's Marco Neels got a free kick in the 94th minute. Schoonbroek's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Robin Claes in the 97th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Schoonbroek had won after a very even match.
