Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Claus Van Acker got the match started through his kick off. In the 10th minute, Henk Buelens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Viktor Verhaert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claus Van Acker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, KVSK Ursel's Antonio Debock sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christian Rummens narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benne Van Damme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Christian Rummens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Viktor Verhaert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claus Van Acker, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Viktor Verhaert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claus Van Acker in the 18th minute of play. The long shot by Regis Van Der Elst in the 24th minute really tested Christian Rummens's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 26th minute, Henk Buelens made a precise shot to the right of Viktor Verhaert. KVSK Ursel's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A collision led to KVSK Ursel getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Henri-Xavier Van Cauwenbergh hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the match, Claus Van Acker had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Viktor Verhaert. KVSK Ursel's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claus Van Acker was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonio Debock got free with Christian Rummens in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpected shot in the 37th minute by Antonio Debock got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 40 played minutes, KVSK Ursel's Regis Van Der Elst shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Christian Rummens came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in KVSK Ursel reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Antonio Debock managed to get in a good position for a shot. KVSK Ursel's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonio Debock was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Rummens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benne Van Damme stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Viktor Verhaert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claus Van Acker in the 52nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, KVSK Ursel's Marco Neels got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Claus Van Acker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Benne Van Damme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Rummens having to interfere. Christian Rummens came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by KVSK Ursel's Antonio Debock. But to his dismay, Antonio Debock quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Floris Polspoel kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Antonio Debock managed to get in a good position for a shot. KVSK Ursel's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonio Debock was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Rummens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 73 minutes into the match, Claus Van Acker dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Viktor Verhaert, 1-3. SK Oteppe's Christian Rummens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benne Van Damme in the 76th minute of play. The supporters of SK Oteppe booed when KVSK Ursel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kim Vinckx didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henk Buelens scored 1-4 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Viktor Verhaert, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 84th minute, Ivan Colebinders hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guust Van Meel during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of KVSK Ursel booed when SK Oteppe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guust Van Meel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute of the match Siebe Biermans shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christian Rummens showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benne Van Damme in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Rummens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Guust Van Meel got his second yellow card in the match during the 89th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SK Oteppe eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
